Hi there! My name is Xena and I am a sweet playful girl who is looking for a loving family to call my own! I first arrived in the shelter as a stray who unfortunately was never reclaimed. I was in desperate need of some vet treatment and TLC as I had been attacked by a dog and could not walk on my own but despite my injuries I was still a loving and smooch girl throughout the entire treatment. After some x-rays the vets determined I had some spinal and muscle injuries but after some pain relief rest and recovery I slowly started to feel better and I now have regained full function of my legs and back. I have a loving and affectionate nature and will approach anyone for attention! I have not slowed down at all and I am more than happy to roll around for cuddles and attention and even during play! My new owners should give me some time to settle at home before I feel fully comfortable just to adjust with the transition. I should not be rehomed with a dog in the household even an outdoors dog as I will be a little unsure and scared around dogs after what I have been through and I would feel much more comfortable enjoying my owners to myself without that fear. I would best suit being and indoor only cat to ensure I do not wander and bump into any stray dogs on the street as I may become scared and lose my way home. Although I have fully recovered from my injuries I may be a little sore from time to time as with any healed injury so my new owners must be mindful with handling especially around children and ensure I am always supervised around children. I have definitely been through a lot in the first 6 months of my life but I am more than ready to enjoy the rest of my life with my forever family and look forward to the future!
