About Marley ~ Labrador (on trial 11/10/15)
Marley is a 12 month old, purebred black Labrador. His absolute favourite thing in the world to do is play with other dogs; closely followed by chewing on his kong toy filled with turkey meat. He is very smart and listens to everything you say. He has already mastered sit and shake and high 5 and will eagerly perform these. Marley loves company whether it be human or dog company! He really needs company as he is so sociable; so his forever home will need either an owner home a lot of the time or some doggie brothers or sisters to keep him busy.
Marley is a gorgeous looking dog with a large black nose, soft ears, shiny coat, and big brown eyes.
Marley is cat friendly and is quite curious about my 3 cats but gives them a sniff and is on his way. He has occasionally tried to play with them but a soft whack to his giant head by the cats is enough to teach him this will not happen any time soon.
Marley is a loyal dog who is also happy following you around the house and setting camp at your feet as you watch TV. He is fully toilet trained and will make a soft whimper if he needs to go outside. He sleeps well on a dog bed on the floor next to my bed and rarely wakes up throughout the night but if he does, just telling him to go back to sleep does the job to get those doggie snores happening again.
Marley loves to go out for walks and gets very excited about meeting new friends, whether they are human or dog. He will require a walk once a day and a decent sized yard. He is great in the car and sits on the back seat happily.
I feel like he may be more suited to having a lady dog for company but it might just depend on the dogs. He is excellent with kids also and loves playing with them.
Marley would make a very faithful friend for the right person.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
