Shadow

Hello my name is Shadow I'm a lively friendly girl looking for a forever home. I was surrendered to the shelter as my owners were moving and couldn't take me with them. I need an active family who will include me in their daily activities and walks. I love playing in water and my previous owners did take me to the beach to play.
I'm quite a large girl and would like a big backyard because I just love to run and play around. I am very strong on lead and during my time here at the shelter I have been learning how to walk on a Halti (and doing really well!) - to make walk time enjoyable for both of us I would love it if you would continue this when I go home with you. I will benefit from ongoing obedience training with my new owners this will also make our bond stronger.
While at the shelter I have met a few doggies and I love to play with them but due to my size other dogs can find me intimidating so if you have a friend for me at home please ensure you bring them in for a meet-and-greet to make sure we will be best buddies. I will benefit from ongoing socialisation with other dogs to ensure I will love other dogs and play nicely. I have met some cats here at the shelter and they seem ok but please ensure any introduction is slow and safe. My coat is low maintenance that will only need a bath when I'm dirty and a brush once a week to keep me looking my best. My new yard will need to have secure 5-foot fencing without any holes or gaps.
