Hello there allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rocky and I am a sweet gentle old man who is looking for a loving family to call my very own. I was surrendered to the shelter as unfortunately my previous owners could no longer look after me. I can be a little quiet an reserved when first meeting new people so I will need some time to bond with my new owners before they steal my heart. I may also be a little nervous when I first arrive in my forever home so again my new owners must understand this and allow me some time to settle in before I feel relaxed and comfortable to come out of my shell. Once I do feel comfortable I have a gentle affectionate nature. I am very laid back and I am quite happy to just laze about and enjoy a snooze and soak up some sun in a nice cozy bed or a window ledge. I would best suit being an indoor cat as I am not as agile as I used to be and do not have the thrill for adventure as young cats do and would be quite content snuggling up with my owner or enjoying a nap. I love pats and attention especially head scratches which I will sometimes give gentle love bites when I really enjoy it. I would best suit a quiet and mature household with no young children as I have no interest in play and would benefit from having owners who are home most of the day to keep me company and give me some gentle attention. I will require a vet to have a chat with my new owners as I have had a lump removed from my lip which has been sent away and was just a skin growth and also to reassure the importance of keeping my teeth clean and healthy as I needed a dental before going to adoptions to prevent me form having to go through anymore procedures down the track. If you are looking for a loving mature companion who will always be happy to have a snuggle and a pat but can also be quiet and content on their own then please come into the shelter and meet me we may be the perfect match and I can't wait to find my forever home!
