Bodhi ... beautifully trained boy

Bodhi is a cruisy 18 month old with a bright future ahead of him. He is microchipped as “Staffy / Lab x” but we think he looks just like a brindle kelpie

He is super smart and learns so quickly that we sometimes have to pinch ourselves! He can sit, drop, stay, come, wait, goes to bed when told and knows “ah ah ah”, leave and outside/inside. Every day he is with us he learns something new, even picking up his toys! He is house trained too.

He’s a beautiful boy, and not just on the outside. He is very good natured, affectionate and loves to have a cuddle. He gets along with other dogs, and would best suit a home with a decent sized, fenced in yard and another dog to be his best mate, as he doesn’t like to be alone. He LOVES people and is also cat friendly. He does take chase if the cats run, but it is just the playful puppy in him, as he would not hurt a fly.

During the loud fireworks on Australia Day, Bodhi enjoyed a leisurely game of fetch and was relaxed and focused. He is learning not to dash out the door, but even if he does manage to get out, he is easily recalled. Within a day he learned to sit and stay at the front door, and even when we come in, we can get him to sit, stay and be calm until we’re in the door. Then the all-over body wagging happens!

He loves the dog park, although he is more interested in romping around with another ball-obsessed dog than with the ball itself. He is showing a real interest in the Frisbee and it would be great to see what he can do with some practise. He loves to play tug and zooming around with his mate Bass, they just love to run and chase balls, and they share them nicely too.

Bodhi would suit an energetic family or couple that are willing to take him for daily walks and spend time training him to reach his full potential. He is excellent on the lead and he listens. Another dog as a play friend would be wonderful too!

He can not be homed anywhere near where there are kangaroos, as they are too hard to resist, and no 7 foot will spoil his fun.

We are sure this gentle, intelligent, special young man will grow into a real gentleman. His future family will be proud and blessed to call him their own.
