About Delilah ~ (On trial 9/10/15) Cattle x Ridgeback
Hey There, Delilah! Delilah is a 10-week-old Cattle x Ridgeback puppy. Delilah is a sweet, charming and intelligent girl, with a calm nature who just wants cuddles. She has big brown eyes and tan and white fur with black markings on my face. Delilah’s favorite things to do are cuddles with her foster Mum, adventuring in the big backyard with her foster brothers and sisters, playing with toys and like any working dog, doing tricks to please her foster Mum who gives her yummy treats.
Delilah will grow up to be a medium size dog; she will need secure fencing and a large yard. She will need someone who is home most of the day with an active lifestyle so she can get plenty of walks and adventures. So far, Delilah is very active and adventurous; she loves to play with her big foster brothers and sisters, already almost running as fast as them.
Delilah really loves her cuddles and human companionship and is currently sleeping inside with her family where she is most comfortable. She will need a home where she can be both inside and outside.
Delilah is great with kids and is young enough to be able to learn good manners with other animals such as cats for her new home. She has been around chickens and birds and has a very relaxed disposition.
Like all puppies, Delilah is still taking steps in toilet training and basic commands. She will need to have toilet training continued with basic commands. We always recommend puppy preschool for all puppies for the best head start for their new forever home.
For more information or to meet Delilah, please contact her foster carer Kelly on 0428 422 761 or email kellyhandsaker@gmail.com. Delilah is in foster care in New Lambton Heights, NSW (Newcastle). Due to Delilah’s age she is only available for adoption to the Newcastle, Central Coast, Port Stephens & Hunter areas as she will need to be brought back to a DRN vet for desexing when she is old enough.
Delilah's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed (when old enough), vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
