About Red
Unbelievable Red is still waiting. I know. Leave your gasps at the door. This adorable, fun-loving fellow has been in the pound for quite a while now. When he first came in it was clear Red was very under-socialised with no understanding of basic commands and very timid. However, with time and dedication from pound staff he has come a long way. Red is now being leash trained, learning basic obedience commands such as 'sit', 'come' and 'stay'. He still has a long way to go in these areas but the fact that he is opening up and becoming receptive with a will to learn is fantastic. Red needs a terrier-savvy home with an owner who has the skills to help an under-socialised dog become a wonderful, confident canine citizen. He has the natural terrier tenacity and prey drive which is inherent in the breed but it does make him unsuitable for a home with small animals and cats (tested multiple times). Despite being not socialised he does fairly well with other dogs. He is tense at first but shows no aggression and soon relaxes and is happy to be around them.
Medical notes
Red a has a small umbilical hernia
