About Rusty
Rusty is a stunning looking 4 year old tan kelpie x male who is on the search for his forever home. This boy is a typical kelpie; loyal to his foster parents, focused and driven, active and also ever so loving.
There is one thing he loves more than people though... The ball.
A ball. A stick. Oh dammit even throw him a carrot and he will retrieve it.
He has proven to be excellent with kids of all ages, dogs of any size or age, cats, poultry and even livestock. He is amazing off leash and just wants to follow you around and he isn't too bad on leash either. He is very intelligent so any issues are very easily corrected.
Right now his foster home allows him both inside and outside and he does great with both, and he would love a home that allowed him to have that same privilege.
Rusty is great in the car and especially loves it when he can go on adventures to the park or the beach. He'll even swim in a dam or river as well. Any body of water is fine with him.
Rusty isn't a difficult dog but does require an active household, one either with another friendly active dog or as an only dog. He can happily live with cats and kids as well, and any livestock too. At least 5ft fencing for this boy as well, just for safety. Rusty is looking for someone with a loving arm and one that will throw a ball as wel- is that you ?
Medical notes
Happy and healthy boy who is able to leave for his new home now
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
