About Hugo ~ Labrador X (On Trial 16/10/15)
Hugo is a beautiful 7 month old Labrador X. He has a playful and gentle nature. He loves people and is easy to train as he will do anything for a pat.
Hugo knows his basic commands come, sit, drop, stay. He is eager to please. He would do very well at obedience or agility training.
He is very social with both humans and dog having been taken to dog groups. He is good with all sizes of animals he is gentle with our cat as well as loves playing with our Great Dane.
He is living with two children aged 6 and 7 and is loving and gentle with them both.
Hugo will need an active owner or family that has plenty of time for him, he will need a lot of exercise someone who jogs would be perfect he would love to be a jogger’s companion.
Hugo is toilet trained and would love to be an inside/outside dog. He will want to be part of the family not left alone in the back yard. If he will be by himself during the day he could do with a companion.
The best companion for Hugo would be a larger female dog. Although people can go near and take his food he gets upset if other dog go near or take his food so he is best feed alone. \
Hugo has a very easy coat to look after a quick wash, brush and he’s shiny and ready to go.
If you have an active live this is the dog for you as he is up for anything.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
