About Vegas ~ Shih Tzu x (trial 7/11/15)
Vegas is a 12 month old Shih Tzu/Maltese cross King Charles Cavalier. He is the perfect little companion. He follows you around all day sitting on your lap or lying next to your feet. He has a cute fluffy black and white coat that will need regular grooming.
Vegas is housetrained and currently sleeps inside. He is currently living with a great dane who he gets along with well. He does get angry with food and his toys however he currently being trained to combat these issues. Vegas enjoys a walk each day and likes the water. He does pull on the lead when walking. He has not had exposure to cats so unsure how he would go with them.
Vegas loves wrestling in the backyard with his foster brother to chewing on a stick. He loves all types of food and will sit when asked. He will need on- going training to improve his possessive attitude towards toys and food. It is for the reason that Vegas would suit a family with older children or no children as he does snap when annoyed.
Vegas would love a home where he is walked regularly, loved immensely and shown the affection and kindness he deserves. He is an adorable young gentleman who loves to please. If you can provide a loving home for this beautiful boy please apply.
For more information or to meet Vegas, please contact his foster carer Lucy on 0432 518 578 or email lucymagann@hotmail.com. Vegas is in foster care in Mayfield, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Vegas's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
