About Matilda
Are you looking for a new friend who is fabulous with children and other dogs, good natured and affectionate, house trained, easy to handle and groom, who walks well on leash and travels well in the car; who LOVES to play and will enthusiastically join in any game on offer but also loves just chilling out with her pack (human or doggy); a youngster who in her time with us, has grown into a loving dog who is a joy to be with … ... then TILLY maybe your girl!
Tilly has come on leaps and bounds since joining us from a North Coast pound. Besides learning to walk well on leash and the etiquette of living in a family home, Tilly has learnt the basic commands - sit, wait, on your bed, OUT. She’s around 9 months old, in great health with a silky soft dark brown coat, medium sized, tall with a slim body, weighing around 24 kg. And she has the most endearing face and ears!
Tilly is looking for a home where she will be made part of the family and exercised each day. She is only young and her new family will also need to continue with her training and socialisation. Tilly does have a cheeky side, makes us laugh with some of her crazy antics and she can annoy the older dogs by her insistence on playing when they just want to sleep, but we really cannot speak highly enough of this young girl.
If you like the sound of Tilly and you are prepared to put in the work to settle a rescue dog into your home, then Tilly would love to hear from you!
*** Saving Staffies believe that dogs should be socialised from an early age, play with other dogs that are well grounded, introduced to the big world outside the rescue by walking them in different areas, having a mixture of people spend time with them, so that when they are adopted they are confident in most environments. \ We have uploaded a few videos of Tilly, to show how she interacts with other dogs, and her human friends.
