About Shianne (And Sammy)
We don't know shianne's story but this beautiful natured girl found herself in a pound with what appears to be her little mate, a maltese called sammy. Initially, sammy and shianne were going to be separated and sent to two different rescue groups, one who specialises more in littler dogs and another who specialises more in older working breeds and in particular border collies. It became apparent though that they were both very bonded and in the interests of both dogs (shianne in particular), it was decided to keep them together. Shianne may have been an inside dog and a much loved companion, at one time, but the whole experience of being abandoned, the pound and now her current living arrangements in kennels is taking a toll on this gentle soul's spirit. She is in good physical condition, apart from some arthritis and she trots along beautifully and she may have many more years in which to still enjoy life and blossom and be happy again. Both dogs are incredibly sweet and gentle and we are hoping for a happy ending for shianne and sammy in a home where both dogs would be returned the love and loyalty they themselves would have given in abudance. We recognise that some people are more little dog or larger dog orientated and we are more than happy to rehome little sammy in the event that sammy should outlive shianne. . . He is more capable of coping but we feel that shianne is less able to be separated at this point
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
