Tully

Tully is a gorgeous 5 year old couch potato who loves to spend his days sleeping in the sun.
He is a failed racer who was surrendered to a vet school where he was used for teaching purposes. Tully is now looking for a family to love and spoil him. He absolutely loves people and is used to being handled. His favourite is a scratch behind the ears and a chin rub!
Tully knows how to sit and loves his walks. He enjoys exploring the world and gets along well with other greyhounds. But because his previous life was very confined, he would benefit from exposure to new situations, places and other dogs. Tully simply does not know yet what else is out in the world.
Tully has had very little contact with other dogs and will need slow introductions to other breeds, in particular small dogs. He is still pretty unsure of other dogs and just doesn’t know much about them.

He does not like to be disturbed while sleeping and will growl if disturbed. Tully can also be a little anxious in crowds and is uncomfortable with too much attention. He will need a place in his new home where he can retreat undisturbed.
He is toilet trained and walks really well on leash. On his walks, he shows interest in birds, rabbits and other dogs but will not pull or chase.

Tully is a sweet and docile boy and does well on his own and will happily wait for you to come home on his outside bed or confined to one room of the house. He is not afraid of the household noises like vacuums, lawn mowers or the TV.
Tully would do well in a quiet household with older children and is happy to be an only dog. He does really well with a set routine and would benefit from continued socialisation and exposure to new situations.
