About Beau
Are you looking for a seriously handsome, active new family member to be able to mold into the best dog friend ever? Then come and meet Beau!
Beautiful Beau has had a pretty rough start to life. He was surrendered as a malnourished puppy over 1 yr ago and bounced back extraordinarily well being on a proper diet etc and we thought we had found the perfect home but unfortunately those circumstances has changed and he was surrendered back to us.
Beau is looking for a REAL FOREVER HOME that will give him loads of love but also the fundamental training needed to be the dog that he is really wanting to be. He just wants to have a stable home, family and boundaries so he can please you as it seems he just does not know what people expect from him. Being a large breed dog it is easily forgotten that he is only a one year old.
He is lovely with kids but as he is big, small children may get accidentally knocked over. A home without cats/small animals is probably best too.
Professional positive enforcement dog training is a must. We need to know that he and his family is getting the proper guidance in a controlled environment and it's all back to basics for Beau. Socialisation with humans, other dogs big and small, and basic general obedience inc. walking nicely on a loose lead. He does 'sit' well but it doesn't seem like he actually knows the word 'sit' as we witnessed a lot of heavy handed lead tugging to get him sitting.
Initially, Beau will need a patient owner willing and able to give him the time of day and in turn he is bound to be a fantastic loving lifelong companion.
