About Sarah ~ Sweet Foxie ~ On Trial 26/10/15
Please welcome little Miss Sarah! This little foxie is the sweetest girl you will ever meet and she is waiting ever so patiently for her forever family to come along. Sarah is 5.5 years old and is super affectionate and wants nothing more than to shower her family with lots of snuggles and cuddles. She enjoys spending time with her family and is a big fan of lying next to you or in your lap! She will more than happily doze off like this with her family.
After a little nap, Sarah loves an adventure in the backyard around the block or to the park. She will sometimes play with a toy in the backyard if she’s in the mood for it, otherwise she is just happy to go for a run or search for lizards in the backyard with her feline foster sister.
Sarah is very placid, gentle and obedient with her family. She has learnt basic commands such as sit and come and will respond to these if you ask nicely and be patient as sometimes she may take some time to sit, but a few treats usually does the trick nicely.
Little Sarah has no issue being left home alone in the backyard if and when you need to go to work or pop out. Since she is so small adequate fencing will be needed just so she can’t accidently slip out under the fence to find you (not that she is an escape artist!). As may be expected, she is always very delighted to see you when you get home and will want to follow you around to spend time with you. She may even sometimes spring into the air on all fours with excitement. Sarah can also be left alone in the house during the day but until she is used to her new home, the use of a puppy pad is recommended so she doesn’t have any little accidents.
She also understands that her family has responsibilities and if her foster mum is busy around the house she will go and find a nice cushion on the lounge to snuggle up on. She will rarely bark unless she is playing but she will alert her family when someone is at the gate.
Along with a nice nap and sometimes a fun game, this little cutie loves her food!! She has a great appreciation for a nice meal but she isn’t always big on treats or bones but she will however enjoy a shmacko or two. She does love any wet food or biscuits.
When it is time for bed you will not find a sweeter bed buddy… Sarah likes to sleep on your bed under the covers with you, but if you don’t need a bed buddy she has also been taught to sleep on the spare bed.
Miss Sarah currently lives with a feline foster sister and also another foster pup. She has been very loving towards her feline sister who mostly leaves her alone anyway. Her foster brother and her are not exactly the best of friends yet as they had a rough start but they do sleep on the same bed and lounge together. Sarah just wants to be friends with him but he is taking his time getting acquainted with his new little foster sister. However Sarah should be fine with other cats and dogs as long as they aren’t too rough with her, after all she is petite.
So if you are looking for a sweet little girl to join your family then look no further. Sarah is the ideal little companion and will be very excited to meet you!!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
