Lara .. great with autistic children

Meet Lara: she is an extraordinary people pleaser. She doesn't do tricks for treats, she just does it because she wants to please you. She has amazing recall to her name or a whistle. She loves to run but will happily walk to heel without a leash. She is crate trained and she just loves a cuddle. She has velvety smooth fur that is so surprisingly soft, and her coat is low maintenance too!

Lara loves people: adults, and kids and everything in between. She wants to be with you all the time. She would best be considered for stay-at-home mums or dads, or for people who can take her to work with them. Although she knows some very useful commands like sit and stay and heel, she can jump six foot fences if she is left alone for long periods. Being crate trained has helped to keep her contained for short periods.

She happily romps in the backyard with a female Jack Russell and would benefit from the company of another dog. She plays well with other dogs in the park but seems to prefer dogs her own size or bigger. We have been extending her training with some new vocabulary like, "up" (to jump up into the car), "mat" (go to your mat), "outside" and "drop" (for lie down). She also fetches a ball.
