About Toby (Mini Poodle)
Toby is a Mini Poodle with his whole life ahead of him. At just 12mths old, this gorgeous boy was rescued by Wally's and shown what life should be like. He is in foster care with multiple host dogs (small), birds and young children and is settling in more and more each day.
Like many of our rescues, little Toby arrived starved of affection and love, but this is all behind him now. He is gaining more confidence every day and once trust is established, this little man craves affection and will be your little shadow.
Socially, Toby loves the interaction with his host dogs and enjoys a good play in the backyard. He is toilet trained but does need leash training which his foster mum is working on. Toby's new family will need to have patience and consistency with training as Toby has proven to have a stubborn streak!
His foster mum has noticed that he barks at his own reflection and we are wondering if maybe he isn't sure about his new haircut, but I'm sure in time, he will come to love the way he looks, as we do. Toby was a little unsure about his new little human friend but feels quite comfortable around older children and although he is growing less wary each day, we think Toby would be suited to a home with children over the age of 10yrs.
Toby's foster mum would love to see him adopted into a home with another doggie companion with a family who have the time and patience to continue his training. He craves love and affection and totally deserves it.
Toby is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated and available for a meet and greet prior to adoption. He is located in Toukley on the Central Coast NSW.
Medical notes
Toby currently has an ear infection which he is currently being treated for. Otherwise, a healthy and happy dog.
Adoption details
Please contact Vanessa via email only should you wish to meet Toby. Email will ensure a faster response.
When enquiring about Toby, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
