About Suki

Please note: Suki needs a quiet canine companion and an adult only family.
Sweet Suki is an ex-puppy farm dog who unfortunately does come with some of the problems that often go with this. She has an anxious personality and will need love and patience to let her true soul shine. All Suki wants now is to be someone’s special companion, a role she does so very much deserve.
Suki adores your company and will follow you around the house in a really lovable fashion. She loves to have her ears scratched and if you stop will gently nudge you for more affection. She is adjusting so well to a normal life and will excitedly greet you when you arrive home and dance around in circles when she sees the lead come out.
Suki will thrive with further training and guidance but she has proven to be a quick learner. Her new home will have a quiet senior doggy mate for company as Suki continues to grow in confidence from having her fellow canine friends around.
The time you invest in this amazing dog will be returned tenfold. All she needs now to complete her world is you.

All dogs that come into the care of Victorian Dog Rescue are tested for heart worm.

Suki’s operation by a specialist on her luxating patella was a great success but sadly there is nothing we can do for her hip and advanced arthritis. She will need to be treated as a senior dog.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you too as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
