About Queen Elsa
Queen Elsa is an nearly 2 year old Kelpie x Shepard Mix
She adores people, she is good with older kids, dogs, & cats.
She can sit, lay down, stay on her bed, as well as sit & wait for food on command before eating. She is crate trained and sleeps all night inside her crate without a sound.
She has an easily trainable nature, and would definitely benefit from ongoing training. She has learnt to walk on a head halti and responds to tone based verbal commands.
She is excitable, and will jump on people for pats, with training this will stop- Over the last few months this behavior has not been tolerated and she is learning fast not to do it.
****Elsa requires a confident experienced owner for the following reasons****
She has been in care for about 6 months now as she had initial trouble with the changes/instability in her life.
She was returned to us from her last few adoptions as she wasn't settling in so well and needed time to adjust. When she is unsure about new things she displays fear based aggression, she has never bitten anything but she barks, growls, puts her back up and sometimes shows teeth. This behavior is all show and amounts to nothing if handled correctly, she needs ongoing confidence training and socialization.
Over the past few months she has been in a foster home with 3 other dogs, two cat and two teenage children. She travels with us to caravan parks and is trusted around small children (under supervision of course) She has settled in perfectly and is showing almost none of her fear behavior anymore. But I expect it might resurface once she is re-homed but in time she will readjust again.
She's a FANTASTIC dog, and we love her very much! (if we didn't already have two dogs of our own she'd be staying here forever)
I believe she will make someone a lovely pet if given the time and understanding she needs. She would love a home with a dog young enough to keep up with her as she has bonded with my Rotti and they are together 24/7 playing like best mates.
Queen Elsa is currently in care in Warranwood.
