About Toby (Foster Carer Required)
Toby is Border Collie blend of cuteness. Toby was not in the best condition when he came to us although it is obvious that he was loved and that his old owners had put time into him. He had obviously been given lots of cuddles and played lots of games as he is not fearful of people at all and loves to egg you on for a play! He is a happy and sweet little boy who would be a fantastic dog for someone who really wants to have a best mate.
Toby is in foster care in a multi dog household. He prefers female dogs and gets on with some males, but not others. Toby is much more of a people dog, he would rather be with his human companions that other dogs. He is not suited to a home with cats or pocket pets. But, he is suited to a home that is full of love and where he has an owner who has time for him and who wants a very loyal little man at their side.
Toby is fully house trained and walks well on a lead - he loves a great walk! He is playful, affectionate, can sit, shake and gives a great cuddle. In fact Toby is a funny character, he seems to excude a sense of joy about most things, even the mundane.
Ideally Toby will be happy to be your one and only, although he could live with a friendly, non dominant female dog. Toby is fed a premium diet and is adjusting to foster care life well. But, he is ready and waiting for a place to call home again and he hopes that it will be with someone very special.
Medical notes
Healthy boy.
Adoption details
When enquiring about Toby, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with him, whether you own or rent your home, how much you/someone is home and most importantly and why you feel Toby may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions for those people who are close enough to attend this http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Toby.
Wally's Doggie Rescue like all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog. Toby loves to run around in big circles around the yard and lay out in the sun but mostly, he needs to be inside with you.
Toby is located on Central Coast in Tumbi Umbi,NSW.
