About Tayla (Dog/Child Friendly)
Tayla is straight out of Wagga Wagga pound kill list, and saved by Wally's Doggie Rescue.
Tayla has gone into foster care in a family environment with two children aged 6 and 9 years and with a multipe dog household of 5 from small to medium, Tayla is also living with two adult cats. Tayla is very fond of our Pug x Pom female of the same age. Tayla walks well on lead, and is walked daily by our 6 year and 9 year old children. Taylor sleeps through the night and is fully toilet trained. Tayla would like nothing more than to sleep on the lounge all day long. She is not a barker either, and is out of the puppy stage well and truly. Tayla meets everybody confidently and with kisses and cuddles. Tayla does not like to be crated.
Taylor is calm and confident out in public and is well behaved when her foster humans go to dog friendly cafe's and the dog park. Tayla is non reactive to all dogs she meets, and is no fussed as she walks with her humans.
Tayla has shown some interest in the cats, but will direct her attention elsewhere if corrected and has supervised cat interaction when her human foster family. Tayla, does like to chase and bark at the cats, so at this stage best suited to a home without cats. Tayla can be anxious when left outside, and if she has free range access to inside the home, this doesn't seem to be an issue, which we think stems from spending time in dog pound.
Tayla is enjoying a daily walk, and loves children and very gentle around them. Tayla will require 6 ft fence, being a large dog. \
Tayla would be best suited to somebody home most days and have access to inside the house, and her own lounge to call home, when you leave the house. Tayla has the wire haired coat of the Irish Wolfhound and Ridge up her back, with long muscular legs. Her foster family is absolutely smitten over her, and just want her to feel the stability and love that she has missed out on.
Tayla is being fed fresh raw chicken mince and Royal Canin Dry Food. Tayla is a low energy dog, who could live as an only dog or in household with other dogs, but not younger dogs, as puppies tend to annoy her, when they jump up at her face, and any high energy dog, would not suit Tayla, she is lady of luxury.
Medical notes
Healthy adult dog.
Adoption details
When enquiring about Tayla, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Tayla.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
Please note we do not hold dogs.
Tayla is located on Central Coast in Green Point, NSW where is lives with her foster family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
