Oh how I love this boy…
Dougie is just the cutest dog…
Frightened a little of strangers, he Keeps his distance but will settle after a while.

Currently Lives with a 8 month old female kitten,, 4 year old male Westie and a female Cairn Terrior 6 years old.. Follows the Cairn Terrier everywhere as she is the carer of all… Hangs around with the Westie although they have a few niggly moments.. Westie is a grumpy little bloke at times.

Dougie loves a walk…and a good run. And is getting really good at basic commands… He will follow the cairn terrier but will stop and wait for me to catch up.. .never goes to far away from me. He gets walked on a stretching lead , allowing for more freedom. Will sit when asked (have to point at his behind and say sit).. \ Will stop when other dogs stop (mostly).

Loves being outside ,,, \ but also happy to chill with my dogs inside with the heater… Sleeps inside \ in lounge room with other dogs and has access to dog door so can get outside whenever he likes.. His house training is coming along well.
Will sit when he is told to at dinner time (with a point to his behind).. … and is not allowed to eat until command “Good Boy” is given…

Stop and then he is told to sit..

Treat … which he has to sit for…
UP \ (on hind legs ) to receive a treat…
Outside.
Dinner. Which he goes wild about…

Best way to approach Dougie is with open hand palm up…. Saying Good boy slowly approaching. He doesn’t like unexpected movements of people around him.. will give wide berth to all until he can trust..

Dougie would love a home where there is someone around most of the time to help him gain confidence and a doggie friend to learn the ropes from.

All in all … Dougie is an adorable little fellow …
