About Bear
** FOSTER HOME OR ADOPTION REQUIRED **
Bear | Male Siberian Husky/ Keeshond | 5 years old
Introducing little Bear cub!
Bear came into our care several months ago, he was shaved by the pound as his coat was a matted mess and was also suffering from terrible separation anxiety.
Since being in care, Bear has come a long way behaviourally during the time with love and affection.
His separation anxiety has subsided now although it's hard to know if it will return when he is moved into his new home. But because he has come so far since being in care we feel he has become a more well rounded boy that should adjust to new surroundings with more ease now.
He loves being around people and collecting pats and especially belly rubs from anyone who will give them. He would benefit from someone that could take him for walks/runs daily and around more often than not.
Bear is doing great as an only dog and this would continue to suit him.
He would suit a single person, family with older children teenage children.
A retired couple with lots of time to give him would be perfect.
Even though Bear loves his walks and runs he is also a couch potato when the day is done. So if your looking for a snuggle bug to cuddle up with, then this boy is your main man.
Bear has basic training, he sits for his food, and doesn't jump up in excitement. He is also very easy to walk on lead, maybe due to his short size and he is toilet trained. He's very much an indoor dog and would require a home that is happy to spend their days and night with him in the house.
Only apply if you think you can give Bear the love and time he needs.
