Mikey ~ Jack Russell ~ Adopted 3/9/15

Mikey is a 4 ½ year old Jack Russell. He is a happy little bundle of love. If you are after a loyal companion Mikey is certainly that. He is quite a character, his tail wags constantly, life is an adventure for Mikey, and whatever is happening is good with him.

He is happy to cuddle up and watch TV, sit by my side while I study, run in the yard or go for a walk. He is good on the lead, loves long walks and is just as happy on the way home. I don’t have a cat but previous owners had cats and he is fine with that. He is good with other dogs. I have a small dog and his previous owners had a large dog, he is fine with both. He is a great protector, he will let you know as soon as someone comes into the yard but is friendly to all people and kids once they are in the house, he makes friends quickly with everyone he meets.

One of Mikey's most endearing habits is that if I offer him a treat he doesn’t want he gives my hand a little kiss as if to say “No, but thanks anyway”. Having said that he is not a fussy eater and loves to have a bone to chew on.

Mikey is a very smart dog, on arrival to my place he quickly learnt how to use the dog door and which rug was his to sleep on, he also figured out real fast that when the alarm clock goes off I will be up any second and is quite the welcoming committee every morning.

Mikey must go to a home with good fencing, he has not escaped from my yard, so he doesn’t jump or climb.
