Hi, my name is Bamboo & I love living life!

I love, love, love chasing a ball & my foster family wanted me to chase a stick so I learnt that too even though I find it rather strange.

In my opinion life is too short to have no fun so I explore my garden, leaping over the garden rocks, jump onto a trampoline or table to see as far as I can see or to have a rest there in the sun. Neighbours yards are very interesting so I do need a fence at least 5ft high.

I am used to walking on a harness & need to learn that new people leading me will want me to slow down & not pull too.

I was originally adopted from the AWL but was unfortunately surrendered to SHARI as I certainly do not cope in a pound environment, it is way too stressful. The staff at AWL said I was around 7-8 years old but when I went to the vet for a booster vaccination and health check, the vet said I was much younger then the AWL initially thought as my teeth are very shiny and I have an extra zest for life. I am really about 5-6 years but due to the AWL's paperwork I have to be rehomed as an 8 year old dog.

I love people so much that I get too excited & my love bursts out with lots of licking & sometimes jumping. It's too hard for me to remember that toddler humans are fragile. I often make them cry with my excited energy & tail wagging.

I love dogs too! My golden retriever doggy companion makes me so happy when she plays with me. I do not understand though why small animals might be scared of my size & not want to play with dogs.

I know not to bite people & I only bark if a stranger comes to my property.

I would love to find my forever home with someone who has time to teach me new things so I don't get bored. When I get some obedience training & have a quick walk I am content to explore the garden or snooze at your door or in the sun for the rest of the day.
