About Gertie
Gertie was left at Gosford Dog Pound and not reclaimed. She is in foster care with a young lady and no other dogs.
Gertie is a full of life, gorgeous girl. She loves to play fetch and will bring the ball/stick right back to you. She is fully house toilet trained and has no food aggression. Gertie loves the water and loves the beach!
Gertie has great recall off lead as well. She has had other dogs approach her when at the beach and she ignored them and was much more interested in ball throwing and fetching, then to bother with them. She is foster care with a lady who works full time and left for 10 hours a day without a fuss. She does not dig holes or eat her bedding/furniture. If she is ignored she just chills out and awaits her humans.
Gertie has the sweetest little bark and walks perfectly on the lead. Gertie is said to be the perfect dog and even eats her vegetables!
Gertie is available for a meet and greet.
Medical notes
Healthy lady.
Adoption details
When enquiring about Gertie, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Gertie.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
Gertie is located on Central Coast of NSW.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
