About Jack (Dog/Child/Cat Friendly)
Jack was a private surrender into Wally's Doggie Rescue, for not performing as working dog with stock.
Jack is a sweet , well mannered young man. We are told he is short haired purebred border collie.Jack has not had the best start to life, and can be timid in certain situations, he does take a while to warm up to strangers, and would prefer to keep his distance when encountering them on the streets. He is a little collar shy, and drops to the ground and rolls over onto his belly when grabbed by his collar and will need encouragement to develop into the beautiful boy we need know he can be. He will remain gentle mannered, and obsessed with love, with humans that he trust. He is quite food motivated, and with knowning his breed will be easy to train. Jack absolutely loves children and very gentle around them.
Jack is learning to walk on a lead beside you and is crate trained.
Jack is of a working breed background and will be a medium to high energy level dog.
Jack is in foster care in a family environment with two children age 6 and 9 years, 2 adult cats, 4 adult dogs, and two other puppies. Jack is a little sweet heart and craves human affection. Jack is not phased by the cats, and just wonders on pass them. Jack loves to follow you around the house and be your little shadow. Jack remains reserved at first to new surroundings, and shy at times.
Jack is fed a premium diet of Royal Canin puppy biscuits and raw chicken mince. Jack is learning to be inside dog and is currently learning his basic obedience training of walking on a lead, sit and stay. Jack was surrendered without a name, and since been known Jack in foster care, so he does not have recall off lead.
Jack is microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated and desexed and is available for adoption!
A meet and greet of the beautiful Jack can be arranged.
Medical notes
Healthy young man.
Adoption details
When enquiring about Jack, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Jack.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
Jack is located on Central Coast in Green Point,NSW.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
