"Salt", Sweeter Than Her Name. Melbourne

Salt is one of our recently-rescued breeding dogs, who is happily transitioning to life as a pet. Salt has almost learned to recognise her unusual name (which suits her pretty white speckled coat), and is learning about the rules and privileges of household living. Salt had to be lifted onto the bed the first time she saw it, but will now leap onto it herself and curl up with anyone who’s willing!

Although Salt enjoys a run off-lead, her activity levels are generally low. She loves snuggling and being close to her people, and is an affectionate, unobtrusive companion. As she grows fonder of human company, Salt may need some training to help her relax when her humans go out for a while. Salt has settled in easily with her working dog foster siblings, but will do best in a home with no cats or small dogs. She would be fine living with older, sensible children.

Salt’s sweet face, with her inquisitive nose and expressive ears, speaks volumes about the personality that’s waiting to emerge as she adapts to home life. Whoever gives this girl a chance at a new life will be well rewarded.
