About Radley ~ Whippet x ~ Puppy (trial 5/9/15)
Radley is about 3 months old and it is suspected he is a whippet x bull arab (…and maybe also part Dobby the house elf from the look of his ears). He is an incredibly loving, friendly boy. He loves a cuddle and to be around people, other dogs or cats (still getting used to the cats though and can be a little rough but means well). He loves to play – he wrestles my dog a lot and they roll around or play tug of war with toys. He goes off for a big play or to investigate the yard and then usually returns to my lap for a snuggle for safety and warmth (he’s still a bit of a baby).
His toilet training has gone really well. Accidents inside have quickly changed into just an accidental pee here and there. He is very smart and has gotten the idea quickly so I have no doubt that in a short time he would be fully trustable inside the house. \
He seems like a real thinker. He sits and watches everything that is happening in the household and takes it in – he is also very inquisitive. \ When it is time to go to bed he will cuddle up in his bed on the floor and go to sleep soundly. Sometimes, he sneaks up into my bed in the morning and I wake up with his little head nuzzled into my neck and little puppy snores. \ It is a nice way to wake up. He is soft like a baby and has a little pink, podgy belly like a pig.
He can be quite lively like puppies can be sometimes and so would require a walk every day and a bit of a play. I would think that his perfect home has other animals, children or someone home with him a lot of the time for company. He really looks to my dog and cats when I’m not around so company for reassurance and for play time is important.
Radley is not available for interstate adoption, he is only available to the Newcastle, Hunter & Central Coast areas as he will need to be brought to a DRN vet for desexing when he is old enough.
Radley is located in Mayfield West, Newcastle NSW. Please contact foster carer Kate at kateja6182@hotmail.com or 0401 218 211 for more information.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
