About Sonny ~ Border Collie (on trial 8/9/15)
Meet Sonny, a handsome young Border Collie 6 to 12 months old. Sonny is an energetic, playful young man who gets on well with his 3 foster buddies.
Sonny is a very quick learner and cant wait to start his training with you. Due to his energetic nature he would be best with older children as he could knock little ones over when he is excited.
Sonny loves to go for a walk and is quite good on the lead despite his youth.
Sonny is happy to be outside during the day with his foster buddies and sleeps inside at night, his house training is coming along really well after all, he is a really clever boy and aims to please.
Sonny would be best suited to a family with a big yard for him to run and play and another dog for company as he thoroughly enjoys the company of his foster brothers and sister.
So if you are looking for a smart young dog that is full of energy and gets on well with other dogs, (not sure about cats) then Sonny is the guy for you.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
