About Bikkie- sweetheart
Bikkie came to us very quiet and skinny after too long a stay in the pound, but trusted everyone he met straight away and wanted sleep and cuddles on the couch most of all. He's definitely come out of his shell a lot and found his appetite and doggy exuberance since then, and even been a bit cheeky at times.
He is starting to enjoy walks, walks well on lead and adores meeting people of all ages! Bikkie is discovering playtime more and more each day and is responding well to some basic training and already knows how to sit and wait for food etc. Incredibly easy in the car even when he is going to the vet (go figure).
Bikkie seems pretty comfortable outside when I'm at work as long as he has chew toys and/or a bone and somewhere comfortable to nap. Would much prefer to be inside just peacefully following you around or watching you from the couch though. After what must have been a tough road, he deserves a home where he can be involved in activities and be inside quite a bit of the time.
He is so patient with children it would be great to see him with a family and he would settle in quickly and well I think. He is starting to get a bit boisterous now he has found his feet again so that would need to be carefully managed and would probably better suit slightly older children. An owner that is willing to spend some time instilling more doggy manners would be great too as he quite young.
Bikkie's behaviour with other dogs hasn't been tested with other dogs since desexing. It may be necessary to avoid close interaction with other dogs initially and seek training to teach him good introduction manners around other dogs before heading to the dog park. Bikkie would make a stunning 'only pet'.
Bikkie is not cat, bird or chicken friendly.
Located in Thornbury.
