"Ashton", The 35kg Lap Dog. Brisbane

Ashton (“Ash” for short) is a lovable boofy boy, who has his foster carers’ whole household wrapped around his little finger! Charming, cuddly and oh-so-handsome, Ashton is a natural champion at winning hearts. This guy is so happy, he even sleeps with a smile on his face.

Ashton likes to take it easy, and prefers snoozing on the verandah to running around. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but is fine with his foster carers’ chickens and their grumpy Chihuahua. He’s best friends with his whippet foster sister, so is likely to enjoy the company of another dog, but like many greyhounds Ashton is happiest spending time with his humans. He takes his role as companion dog very seriously, and makes sure that his humans always have an escort when they move from room to room.

Ashton’s one regret is that, at a healthy 35kg, he’s too big to be lap dog. He solves this problem by standing at the end of the couch and resting his head in his foster carers’ lap, for a “lap dog cuddle”. Ashton would like to meet anyone who has a lap available for him to doze on, who is looking a loyal, loving lifetime companion.
