About Cindy
Hi my name is Cindy and I am a sweet little lady who is 5 years old.
Unfortunately my background and where I have come from is unclear. As a result of this I tend to be fearful towards humans at the mention of my name.
I do however love other dogs. I love canine company so much that it helps me to gain confidence to see another dog interact with their human. Therefore it is absolutely essential that my new home is to have another dog for company as I become anxious when I am by myself. When there is another dog around I can be found snuggled up to it and relaxed.
Once I learn to trust you I am a real cuddler.
My perfect ideal home is one where I would have lots of company. I just love being a shadow and a cuddler once I learn to trust you. I need an owner who will be patient with me and give me that essential time to learn to trust and settle in with them.

Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Adoption details
The first step to adopting a dog from us is to fill out an expression of interest form.
We encourage you to provide as much detail as possible about your family and your home as this helps us make sure we match you with the most suitable dog.

Please note: we do not organise any meet and greet without a completed expression of interest form.
Our adoption process involves:
1) Completing online application form
2) Arranging a meet and greet with the dogs foster carer, after which we ask you to take 24 hours to make a decision about whether you want to adopt this dog
3) A brief home visit and yard check from one of our volunteers
4) Adoption trial spanning four weeks.
We ask that you pay the dogs adoption fee at the beginning of the adoption trial, however this will be refunded if for any reason the dog is not working out in your home within the four week period. We offer a four week adoption trial to make sure that you have plenty of time for your new dog to settle into your home and so we can offer you full support during this period and beyond.
We offer a free health check with our vets at Indooroopilly or Chermside vet clinic after you’ve adopted your dog and every dog in our care is up to date with all vet work.
