About Nugget ~ Kelpie x Staffy
Nugget 9 month old male Kelpie x Staffy. He is an affectionate, friendly, easy-going boy who has attended Puppy Pre-School where he interacted well with the other pups, large and small.
Because Nugget is extremely smart, he works well with hand signals and voice commands. He does bounce around first thing in the morning, but if you stand still and have your hand out to touch, he calms down. Having lived with families with three or four other dogs and children, he is accustomed to a busy household.
Nugget is very well socialised and is friendly with other dogs and children, This lovable boy is house-trained, well- mannered and is a fast learner - a very clever boy who knows his basic commands such as, sit, bed and stay. A little more training will go a long way with him. Nugget gets along very well with his foster siblings, and has never shown aggression at feeding time.
Being very low maintenance with a coat that can easily be cared for by just a bath and the occasional brushing, Nugget is a dream to look after. Nugget would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other animals in the home. Being a bit of a softie, Nugget doesn’t mind the odd belly scratch. He needs to be in a home with excellent fencing.
Nugget’s adoption fee is $260. He is de-sexed, vaccinated, and free of fleas and worms, micro-chipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
