About Rex
Rex is a stunning 1.5 year old Border Collie boy. With piercing green eyes, striking black and white coat, and a smile he can't get off his face, Rex is a truly gorgeous dog; but looks aren't even his strongest asset! This guy is a real people pleaser, and will do anything to show his love to you. Currently in foster care with Wally's Doggie Rescue, he's on the lookout for a permanent home to call his own!
Rex is a hassle free dog. He is great in the house, and enjoys finding a nice cosy spot to sleep. His other hobbies include snuggling with people, sunbathing, and rolling around in grass. He's been in foster care with a small dog and shown no worries. He's good with other dogs, and loves (adores, really) children. He has no problems being groomed or handled in any way. In true Border Collie style, he's an exceptionally quick learner, and already knows all of his basic commands and manners. At the moment, he does pull on the leash (only in eagerness to explore the world around him), but this will be easily fixed with some training.
His ideal home would be one who is willing to incorporate him into their family life, taking him on outings and welcoming him into the home. True to his breed, he will need stimulation in the forms of long walks, off leash romps or some trick training. A combination of his love of food, intelligence and desire to please results in a fantastically trainable dog, so anything you want him to do for you, consider it done! Most importantly, a comfy lap in which to lay his head, and if not, he'll settle for dozing away at your feet. If you think you could offer young Rex the home he deserves, contact his foster carer with some information about your living situation (family members, home set up, other pets, daily plan for future dog etc).
Adoption details
Please contact Bianca via email only should you wish to meet Rex. Email will ensure a faster response.
When enquiring about Rex, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this pup may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
Rex is in foster care on The Central Coast of NSW.
