About Bleeker *On Trial in His New Home*
*BLEEKER IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* They supersized the love when they made this big, beautiful boy! Bleeker loves his pats and cuddles and enjoys long, leisurely walks. Part Ridgeback, part “Broken Hill Special” and 100% gorgeous this sweet-hearted boofhead is eager to please and ready to bring that energetic spark an active household needs; will it be with you??
Recently arrived from Broken Hill Pound Bleeker is a friendly, happy dog who despite his size thinks he’s a lapdog and will try to climb into your lap given the opportunity. He’s looking for a home with another medium to large sized playful dog for company if you’re going to be away at work for most of the day.
Bleeker just wants to please his humans and his foster carer describes him as a bright boy who listens – he now knows “sit”, using a hand signal, as well as “shake” and “no” and they are working on “drop”. He also knows his name and has good recall. He’s great with other dogs preferring medium to large sized ones, but would need to be supervised around cats as we reckon if they ran Bleeker would chase them. He doesn’t jump up making him good around children and older people and he’s not a “yapper” only barking when necessary which isn’t often. Bleeker can be a bit wary when he first meets strangers though soon warms up, quickly becoming your best mate!

Adorable Bleeker loves water and enjoys a splash in his doggie pool – we haven’t had him down the river yet seeing as how it’s winter but we’re guessing he’d be a fan! He doesn’t appear to have had much to do with doggie toys although he’s starting to get the hang of them and can now be coaxed into a game of tug-o-war. \ He was quite underweight when first coming into care and he didn’t know what to do with a bone until he watched his carers dog devour hers, so now Bleeker enjoys a diet of good quality dry food, bones and table scraps and his favourite treats are Schmackos!
Bleeker hasn’t spent much time inside though we reckon he’d love a home where he could enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle and be part of the household’s goings on.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
