About Cevanah ~ young American Staff (5/9/15 trial)
Cevanah is a 6 month old, purebred, American Staffordshire Terrier puppy. She is a happy, affectionate, and a playful little girl. She loves to play with all sorts of toys and balls and our other foster dogs, large and small. But most of all she loves to snuggle alongside her humans.
She has a beautiful face and continually looks up at you for
guidance. She has adorable brindle markings throughout her spots and has the quirkiest temperament.
Cevanah loves to frolic in the yard running around and bounding through the bushes when you and her puppy friends go with her, an absolute joy to watch. Walk inside and she loves to follow so she will be very loyal. Another dog would suit Cevanah's playfulness and someone home often as she loves companionship. She plays happily with all the 4 other dogs here and all toys, yet a constant check is required as to what little puppy mischief she is up to now. Occasionally you will catch her run past with a sock, shoe or paper of some sort. With her puppy humour and her puppy antics she is so cute and occasionally clumsy.
Cevanah is learning about what the lead is for and will require training classes with her new owners as she will be a strong dog when fully grown. Cevanah is well toilet trained so she needs to be allowed inside with her humans. Cevanah will use her toileting every time she goes outside.
She gets along well with the other dogs here (being a large, medium and small breed as well as a 15 week old puppy) and is learning the personalities of each as to what will be tolerated. She will greet you every time you walk in the door. At dinner she has no food aggression and sits for her meal.
She has access to inside and outside during the day and she sleeps inside at night. Her favourite place to be is inside near you. Cevanah needs plenty of affection, exercise, and positive training, and not to be left outside in a yard all alone. She will not cope in this scenario and with the pink around her eyes she is not to be left in the sun for hours everyday.
She loves to be able to come to you, snuggle up against you, go for walks and go for drives. She travels well in a car. With her low shedding soft coat and loose skin you can't help but cuddle her. Her favourite game is tug of war or wrestle though we encourage this game with only a toy or gentle dog. Toys are her favourite so many toys are highly recommended.
We hope to find a forever home that will cuddle her daily for her entire life. Cevanah would suit an active family.
For more information or to meet Cevanah, please contact her foster carer Cathi on 0408 612 841 or email cathirosew@yahoo.com . Cevanah is in foster care in Shortland, NSW (Newcastle). She is not available for adoption interstate.

(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
