Scarlett

Scarlett is an extremely playful 15 month old Rottweiler cross female who would suit an adult family who also has a dog about 2 years or older. She enjoys playing chasse and tug-o-war around the backyard and needs to be kept active. \ She responds more positively to men rather than women and needs a verbally firm handler. She will not suit being physically reprimanded because she appears to have had a bit of a tough life where she’s has been punished quite regularly. \ She would benefit from consistent obedience commands and because of her size, can become unruly if she doesn’t have structure and regular obedience lessons.

Scarlett is toilet trained and sits at the backdoor to indicate she needs to go out for a wee. For the most part, Scarlett stayed on our dog mat in the family room and didn’t roam around the house because we set boundaries with her from day 1. We keep her in an enclosed dog run at night and she’s been very quiet.

We’ve training Scarlett to sit at the door before coming inside, we do little sit, stays at dinner time and we’ve lead trained her. She responds well to meeting other dogs and people because we’ve socialised her and she has attend our Obedience Club.

Scarlett loves dinner time and because she is always active, would benefit from a usual dinner plus a snack at breakfast time or treats during the day so she can gain some weight and condition. She loves her post dinner cuddle and once her belly is full, is very calm and relaxed.

Scarlett is a lovely girl who needs a family with previous obedience experience to make sure she’ll fit in with her new forever home.
