Clyde - Border Collie (trial 12/9/15)

Hi, my name is Clyde and I’m a male border collie cross who the vet said was approximately 5 years old. I have recently been desexed and I am ready to find a family to be the love of my life.

I came to my foster family from the pound and I am a bit shy. I love my foster mum and will run to the door as soon as she approaches but I’m still a little unsure of my foster dad. I am starting to understand he just wants to give me pats too.

My furry foster sister has shown me many tricks and I am gaining confidence on the lead and starting to sit when instructed. With more training I will be able to learn even more tricks. I have been a good boy around the cats but I haven’t been near children since I got to my foster mum and dads.

Before I got desexed I did spray inside but mum put a belly band on me and it saved all the furniture. I haven’t tried to spray inside since being desexed but my new family would need to keep an eye on me to make sure I don’t try when I first go to my new home.

At the moment I don’t like to go inside too much as I am shy but I’m sure I would gain confidence if you let me in.

My favourite thing to do is play with my furry foster sister. I give her kisses and chase her around. Mum says I would do great in a home with another family dog.

I bark when I get excited during play times but not much during the day or night. I do have lots of energy and will require daily walks. I’m not too sure what to do when a ball is thrown but have fun chasing my foster sister when she goes to get it.

I don’t like travelling in cars and get a bit sick on long journeys but my foster mum says that with some positive reinforcement around and in the car I could learn to tolerate a short car trip.

If you’re looking for a sweet loving dog, I am your guy. It might just take a week or two for me to overcome my shyness but once I am settled in I am sure to become your best friend for life.
