Dexter

Dexter has got it all!

He's got good looks, charm, loves canine friends, loves to play, loves to curl up with his human companions and loves to swim.
Dexter is a pure bred giant schnauzer with a giant heart.

For the whole 7 years of dexter's life so far he has been the loyal companion of a 65yo woman whom he spent almost every second of everyday, they were each others whole world. Due to illness Dexter's owner had to move and Dexter could not go with her, leaving him without his best friend and looking for a new and loving home.

Due to Dexter's size and sometimes boisterous behavior a home with small children or smaller pets will not be suitable, especially cats.

Dexter's close bond with his previous owner has left him prone to some separation anxiety, although he is not displaying any signs of this in his current foster home. So a home with somebody who has lots of time to spend with him, and give him the daily exercise he requires is necessary.

Dexter is extremely loyal and forms strong bonds, this means that he can be protective of his owners whilst at home, and will always let you know when someone is at the door, But will settle down when told and follows basic commands very well, so someone who is comfortable handling larger dogs and understands dog behavior would be a good match.

Dexter's current foster carer takes him for daily runs and swims at the local dog park,he socializes with other dogs and owners extremely well and responds to her commands whilst stealing all the attention and pats from those he meets.

Dexter is an absolute sweetheart, he really loves his exercise, socializing and most of all curling up with his owner on the couch or bed, if you can meet dexter's requirements you will have found the most beautiful new friend to share your life with.
