Widow

Widow is a beautiful and gentle puppy. If you don't believe us look deep into her soulful eyes - mesmerising and captivating. The one and only girl in our litter of 6 rowdy brothers is Widow! (Or Widdy) This girl looks so small compared to her brothers and has the most unique white colouring with a shadow of red roan coming through. Widdy has very sweet girly features and soft facial expressions, and loves standing up like a little person to get your attention.

Widow is a member of our ‘Marvel’ litter who came to us from up north at the tender age of 12 days old. The litter came into care after loosing their mummy and were hand raised by our bottle mums. We have reason to believe her parents were purebred Australian Cattle Dogs but due to the unknown background, we can only assume. The whole litter has always been healthy and strong little babies and thankfully the whole litter made it through unweanie-hood and are coming of age to find their own furever families.

Due to being raised from such a young age in foster care, Widow has only known love and happiness and is a very well-adjusted and sweet natured puppy who will make an excellent addition to a very lucky family!

Widow has always been very people focused and adores attention and cuddles. She likes to watch your face for cues and follow closely behind wherever you go. Wid is a confident little girl who always runs up to new people and tries her best to be friends with the older adult dogs she shares her foster home with. She loves human contact and will be the first to jump on your lap if you sit down and paws at your leg for cuddles.

Widow is beginning his basic obedience, being so people affiliated she naturally wants to work for not only treats but praise and has shown great trainability. She has mastered ‘sit’ and is working on his ‘down’ and ‘come’. She is quite good at hitting the wee mats but being a baby, still needs a bit of work and encouragement. She has been cuddled and coo-ed over since his eyes opened and is continuing his socialisation with people of all ages. Being a well-adjusted puppy, she is very enthusiastic with other dogs and enjoys their company as long as a slow and gentle introduction is carried out first.

The ideal home for Widow would be one that will offer a loving environment that will guide her through her puppy hood with further training and socialisation with both humans and other dogs. Being a working breed, she will enjoy daily walks and exercise in the future. Widow would love a home where she will have lots of companionship, and will preferably have another canine sibling.
