About Elsa ~ On Trial 16/10/15
Hi, my name is Elsa, I’m a super friendly mixed breed girl who wants to be everyone's friend. We are not sure what breeds I'm crossed with, possibly husky x something beautiful. The vet thinks I’m only a young lass - maybe 12 months old. This young age also reflects in my very playful and fun loving nature. I’m looking forward to finding my furever family so there's a lot to be excited about!
Being young makes learning fun, I’m always listening and learning new things. I know some basic commands including sit, stay and come. I still get very excited when I see my family and friends and tend to jump up a bit but I just get so excited to see people as I find everyone and everything so much fun ! I do calm down when I realise you are going to play or spend time with me. I will happily be your shadow when you're at home and I love to sit at your feet for head pats and ear tickles.
I'm an energetic, strong and sweet girl - I'm certainly no wall-flower which makes me very loveable! I'm good with kids, although smaller kids I could knock over with excitement - so I'm best with children over 8 years old or confident kids who are used to playful dogs. I enjoy playing fetch and will bring the ball back to you over and over again until one of us has had enough. I enjoy my daily walks, I could even run with you if you want a running buddy. I will be happy to go at your pace. I do like to explore and smell new things - sometimes I like to stop and investigate things on our walks.
I am an inside / outside dog who is happy to sleep outside in a covered area and warm cosy kennel. I can stay at home during the day if you work. I would particularly love to have a canine friend to play with though as I absolutely adore playing with other dogs ! I particularly enjoy hanging out with large male friendly dogs. So if you are a worker and have another friendly active dog for me to run around with then I'd love to come and stay at your house!
I don’t make much noise, in fact my foster mum has only heard me bark when I’m talking to her or another dog during play. I have a nice easy care coat and I love to be brushed and patted. \ I'm too interested in cats and pocket pets like bunnies and chickens, so I am best suited to a home without them. I am treat focused so am keen for more training - I'd be great at dog sports like agility as I'm active and agile and willing to please you.
If you would like to meet me please email Jo on Jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com or phone 0427 695 104 (after business hours). I am in foster care near Morriset on the NSW Central Coast.
My adoption fee is $400. It includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping and registration

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
