About Sawyer ~ Malt/Foxie X Pom/Shih Tzu (trial 15/8/15)
Introducing Sawyer a beautiful Maltese/Mini Foxie x Pomeranian /Shih Tzu 9 week old puppy. My sweet little angel Sawyer is now ready to find his forever home. Sawyer’s new home must have a stay at home mum or someone who works from home and another small friendly dog of similar breed. Sawyer is definitely an inside dog who must sleep inside in a cosy bed with a soft blanket and a teddy. He does love to go out and play on the grass, but this must be done under supervision.
Sawyer is my snuggle bug and loves to be with you and loves belly rubs.
Sawyer is a very sweet, snuggly boy. Marshall is the smallest and quietest but exceptionally loving.
You must have a very secure yard with at least 5 foot high colourbond fences as Sawyer can get out at very small places. You must have a yard for them to be able to go out and have a run in, whilst being supervised. Sawyer is not suitable for kids under 10 years or for the elderly as he is so small and fragile, a small child could easily cause harm to them by dropping or handling them to roughly and are tiny enough that could get under the feet of the elderly and cause a fall. Sawyer will not be able to go to rural fencing eg chicken wire, mesh or anything similar for obvious reasons.
Sawyer be prepared for the future costs of grooming which needs to be done every 4 months plus they need constant brushing to keep tangles and knots away. They also need to have their eyes kept nice and clean to stop knots from forming around their faces.
Sawyer cannot go to homes with a large or medium size dog, even though they are very dog friendly but because of their small size, they need a dog similar size to them, as they love to play.
There is lots more to tell, so please contact their foster carer Robyn on 49537115 and leave a detailed message. Sawyer is in care in Glendale (Lake Macquarie).
Sawyer’s adoption fee is $650 which includes his desexing when old enough, vaccination’s, micro chipping + flea and worm treatments. Sawyer is available for adoption in Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Newcastle and Port Stephens areas. He is not available for interstate adoption.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
