About Derrick (On Trial)
Derrick has been waiting quite a while now for a forever home and we can’t quite work out why he this charming blue and white boy hasn’t been homed yet!
“I’m Derrick and I have already been waiting in kennels since before Christmas for a forever home. Is it because I just get too happy whenever I have a visitor? ‘Cos I quietly walk on the lead when we get started I just want to make everyone who sees me feel like they are the most important person in the world – better even than a tin of sardines for breakfast! I like my own space but if the right girl came along I think I could manage it – I like to consider myself a bit of a dude and if there was a man cave I could hang out in somewhere (hopefully with a lounge) I would be the happiest dog alive. It’s not my fault I’m bigger than some of the other houndies – I’m just tall for my size okay?! I can curl up small if I need to, and anyway, as the humans say big is beautiful!” If Derrick looks like the kind of boy that you would like to get to know while lounging on a couch get in touch to foster or adopt : info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
