Penny ~ Fox Terrier (on trial 16/8/15)

Meet Penny, a (just over) one year old Fox Terrier with much more love to give than is evident by her small frame. If you asked Penny she’d call herself a ‘people person’ as she just loves to be with people, snuggled in on their lap for cuddles and snuggles.

Penny loves to play (fetch is her favourite game and she’ll bring the ball back every time!) but also loves to relax and really hates being away from her humans, though she has become much more ok with this now that she knows they will always come back.

Penny gets on great with doggy brother and sister but does have the occasional tiff so may do better in a one dog home, but after every tiff her and her brother and sister make up and are playing and lying around together like nothing has happened. Penny’s foster parents put it down to possible sibling jealousy between Penny and her foster sister.

After a rough start Penny now gets on fantastic with her foster family’s two cats and just sniffs and licks them a little if she can.

Penny’s manners are fantastic, she may only know sit and stay as basic commands but she is just a generally well-mannered dog. Her only issue is that she likes to jump when she is excited even though she knows this is wrong…which she then plays off to get more attention by jumping up then instantly rolling on her back and looking at you as if to say “I’m sorry…pat me!”.

Penny is fully toilet trained and needs to be a mostly inside dog so she can be around her human family. She gets on fantastic with her foster family’s two children (aged 4 and 6) who love her to bits and often snuggle with her on the lounge. \

Penny has zero aggressive tendencies with people. When she first arrived she was in pain from de-sexing and having her dew claws removed and quite narky with the other dogs but never once even looked like disagreeing with the loving attention only a 4 year old can give, she loves the attention and love of people and gives it back ten-fold.
