About Jerry
Jerry is an absolutely gorgeous, smoochy and affectionate young Kelpie cross who loves pats and cuddles!
Jerry is a smart dog who has learned sit, drop, shake hands and beg. He is currently learning 'spin'. He is currently attending dog school every Sunday morning with his foster carer.
He is completely house trained, can use a dog door or will wait at the back door when he needs to go. Jerry is crate trained and also enjoys sleeping on a dog bed.
Jerry has an off-switch in the house and will chill out and snooze in his crate or on a dog bed when his humans are on the computer or watching tv.
Jerry will only be rehomed to an experienced dog owner - preferably experienced with working dogs, or an owner who is prepared to work with him. Like many Kelpies, he will need ongoing intellectual and physical stimulation. He will also need a trainer who is prepared to continue his desensitisation training in relation to car travel as Jerry sometimes sings during car travel.
Jerry would love make an excellent running buddy for someone who likes jogging/running - or even just long, rambling walks.

Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records.
The form can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x9bvo4dio1wkf36/07%20Adoption%20Application.doc and can be emailed to clara.fosterdogs@gmail.com.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a holding deposit of a minimum $50 that is non refundable to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to finalize, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
