About Gracie
Hi there, my name is Gracie and I'm a Maltese Terrier mix. I'm currently in foster care with 3 other small dogs and kids, and of course my awesome foster mum! They all love me dearly and I love them right back, especially the kiddies!
My childhood years were somewhat difficult and this has resulted in me being a little on the timid side, especially when outside of the home. I do like my walks, but occasionally, unfamiliar sounds may cause me to stop abrubtly until I'm reassured that everything is ok. I'm sure that as my confidence grows though, this will happen less frequently.
I'm learning to walk properly on a lead and look forward to my daily walks with my buddies. I'm toilet trained and also crate trained and will happily take myself off to my crate at bedtime without any hassle, but do love a cuddle on your lap (and will happily smother you with kisses before getting comfy).
I'm sociable and playful with other dogs, although I would love to be number one so being an only doggie in my new home would suit me perfectly. I continue to amaze my foster mum with how my confidence is growing, it does however make me nervous if approached too quickly so my forever family will need to be conscious of this and have a gentle hand.
My foster mum would love to see me find a loving, gentle family with or without kids who have the patience and time to continue working through my confidence barriers. A home where I would be your number one doggie and a family that will love me just as much as my foster family do!
Gracie is in foster care at Toukley on the Central Coast and is available for adoption now. She comes Microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and desexed.

Please contact Vanessa via email only should you wish to meet Gracie. Email will ensure a faster response.
When enquiring about Gracie, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
