About Pepsi
With soulful dark eyes, striking black and white coat, and endless love to give, it's hard to imagine how Pepsi came into care the way she did: Terrified, stained yellow and with mats tangling the underside of her body. She is now safe in foster care with Wally's Doggy Rescue, and is on the lookout for her new home. She is on the smaller size of Border Collies, approximately 15kg. \
Pepsi is an interesting dog, and she will continue to develop and show more of herself as she feels more confident and secure. She will remain gentle mannered, and obsessed with love. She's quite food motivated, and with her breed it's easy to imagine how easily she will be trained in the future. More than anything, she lives to please her people. Uncertain at times, she does take a while to warm up to strangers, and would prefer to keep her distance when encountering them on the streets. She is a little collar shy, and slinks to the ground or rolls onto her belly when grabbed by her collar.
She is fine with small dogs, as she is in care with a small pomeranian mix. Since she's familiar with her, she's happy to play with her around the yard, and cuddle. However, when she encounters unfamiliar dogs on the beach, she doesn't quite know what to do and would rather ignore them in favour of leaning against you for love. It is highly recommended she goes to a home without cats. She is fine being handled, walks spectacularly on leash, and is great in her crate. She settles well in the house, and loves naps on anything comfy.
Pepsi would suit a very particular home, as her current needs must be matched with her possible future ones. She'd do well in a home with another dog, as they will likely help her gain confidence. Potential adopters should bring any existing pets along with them. Because of her gentle mannerisms, we'd like to see her go to a home without young children. Someone who is home a lot to show her the love she yearns for would be great. Pepsi is a Border Collie, so a high energy level is bound to present itself, so potential adopters should express how they plan to meet this energy. She will come vaccinated, microchipped, desexed and flea/worm treated. If you feel you could offer Pepsi the right home that will allow her to blossom into the dog she was born to be, please contact her foster carer with some details about your living situation!
Pepsi will be available for adoption once all her vet work is complete.

When enquiring about Pepsi, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
