Ruby ~ Ridgeback x (owner adoption 12/1/16)

Ruby-doo (Scoobies sister!) is a 6 year old Ridgeback cross. She has a short tan coat with a white chest and is an big adorable companion (35 kgs).

Ruby loves being around people and is great with kids. She has lived with kids as young as 3 and is very gentle, even when being given food by hand or being climbed all over. She is also good with cats.
Ruby will even come up to you and put her head into you for a cuddle! Ruby is good with other dogs and has grown up with others, including puppies.

She loves to run around at full pace with them, which is quite a sight because she can move despite her size! Rubes is house trained and prefers to be inside around people where she can make herself comfortable!

She is great in the car. She can be a bit of work on the lead as she gets very excited to get out and about, especially when there are other dogs to talk to. She knows basic commands like sit, shake and will wait to eat her food if told.

Ruby is intelligent and knows how to scale a standard 6 foot fence so she can explore (She always comes back after exploring!). Ruby grew up on a farm and doesn't recognise a normal fence as a barrier to stay behind.

Ruby is looking for a home that recognises how special she is, and keeps her close and as an active and much loved member of the family. She would be suited to a house with high fences and one where people are around a lot.

Ruby is a lovely dog and a real character, which makes this a hard decision for her owner who is away too much with work to give her the time she deserves.
