Polly ~ Kelpie x Cattle ~ Puppy (on trial 10/8/15)

Hey there! My name is Polly and I’m a 12 week-old Kelpie x Cattle Dog.

Like any working dog, I am very energetic, adventurous and I love to run and play with both my furry and human friends. My favourite things to do are naps, running, eating, more naps, playing hide-and-go-seek with my sister with toys and curling up with a pig’s ear at the end of a long day of adventuring around the big backyard.

My foster Mum thinks that I might have German Shepherd somewhere in my mix of breeds, but we aren’t too sure. She just loves me for my adventurous spirit and sweet nature. Apparently from all the pats and treats I’ve been getting, I’m also quite smart. I’m learning to do tricks like sit and lay down. I’m still working on that whole toilet training stuff, but we’re getting there and my foster Mum is sure that quite soon I’ll be almost fully toilet trained. I also think I’d love to go to puppy training classes to give me the best start for my new home.

I will grow up to be a medium to large dog, I was the biggest dog in my litter and my foster Mum can’t believe how quickly I’ve grown up before her eyes. I have short brown fur with chocolate brown markings on my face and tail, making me look a little bit like a bear.

In my new home, I’m hoping that I’ll be allowed inside to sleep. I sleep inside at the moment in my foster family’s house and am outside in the daytime. I also think when I look at the size of my big paws and think about how big I’ll be, I’m going to need a big backyard with lots of room to run and play. I’d be great with kids and other dogs, as long as I still get plenty of attention and big long walks every day. \ Like any other puppy, I’m going to need someone who is home quite often as I don’t like being alone for long periods of time.

Polly's adoption fee is $450 and she will be desexed when she is old enough, she will need to be brought back to DRN so Polly is only available for adoption in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley areas.
